RÉGIME DES CRUES DANS LE BV DE L’OUED D’OUERGHA (1980-81/2011-12) (MAROC) : CLASSIFCATIONS ET GÉNÉSES ATMOSPHERIQUES

Abstract

The aim of this study is to present the frequency of floods and their monthly and seasonal distributions in the BV of Oued Ouergha. First of all, we determined the phases of the floods by considering 5 times the modulus of rainfall and daily flows between 1980-81/2011-12 (adapted in sown-dry areas). This allows us to know, depending on the sub-watersheds of Oued Ouergha, the months and seasons that are most sensitive to its hydrological intumescence. These studies went through a statistical study of the BV floods. They also made it possible to know the monthly distribution of floods in the hydrological year according to their forms, their durations and their meteorological origins. In this regard, we have explained the meteorological genesis of a wet period of March 10, 2010, which is at the origin of great flooding in the alluvial zones, in particular the plain of Gharb.
